For the past nine years David Pearmain has been Head Teacher of Kenton School, Newcastle (2100 students and one of the 12 most improved schools nationally 2003-6). He is also Chair of the Newcastle Education Improvement Partnership (of secondary and primary schools), a member of the Regional 14-19 Commission and Vice Chair of the Tyne & Wear Aimhigher Steering Group.
