Unis Into Schools – PR Support

A central aim of SCHOOLS NorthEast is to create publicity and advocate on behalf of North East schools, promoting their quality and diversity. In doing so SCHOOLS NorthEast will promote the region and its schools to potential inward investors and employers.

League tables and the National Challenge have ensured that schools are being put in the spotlight more and more. A single piece of bad publicity, however unfair, can lead to a downward spiral: pupil numbers might fall away, thereby reducing per capita funding, teaching standards and even the number of pupils signing up.

This programme will enable the North East’s schools to promote themselves and ensure that they are not judged simply on published exam results or Ofsted reports. Local associations will be provided with personal support through the region’s universities to support and train Head Teachers.
